    Day by Day Itinerary

  • Day 01 Arrive in Beijing
  • Arrive in Beijing, China¡¯s capital with over 3,000 years of history. Transfer to your hotel and free day for you to explore the city.
  • Day 02 Beijing - B.L.D
  • After lunch visit the vast Tiananmen Square and the extravagant Ming Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City, including the jewelry section. After lunch, visit the elegant Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site with Lake Kunming with boat ride (weather permitting). This evening, enjoy your Beijing Duck Dinner followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.
  • Day 03 Beijing - B.L
  • Visit the World Heritage - Great Wall at Badaling. Then proceed to the Sacred Way and the Ming Dynasty Tomb in the afternoon. If traffic allows, stop to photograph the iconic ¡°Bird¡¯s Nest¡±¨C the Beijing National Stadium ¨C host to many spectacular events of the 2008 Summer Olympics.
  • Day 04 Beijing/Urumqi - B.L
  • Visit the Hutong by rickshaw to experience the life of old Beijing People. Then take flight to Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and transfer to the hotel. Urumqi became known to foreign visitors mainly for its role as the last stopover along the" Silk Road".
  • Day 05 Urumqi - Kashgar - B.L
  • Morning flight to Kashgar, which is know as "the pearl of the Ancient Silk Road". This exotic oasis used to be the last outfitting station on the centuries-old Silk Road. Trade remains timeless still, at least on Sundays, when the entire community gathers at the world's liveliest market. Upon arrival you will be taken to the hotel and then visit the famous Sunday Market.(B+L)
  • Day 06 Kashgar/Urumqi /Turpan - B.L
  • Visit the Id Kah Mosque, which is one of the largest and most active mosques in the country and attracts close to 10,000 worshippers every Friday afternoon. Then proceed to visit the Old Street and the Abakh Khoja Tomb at the northeast suburbs of Kashgar at Hanhao Villages. Take flight to Urumqi and be transferred to Turpan. Check in at the hotel.
  • Day 07 Turpan - B.L
  • Visit the Jiaohe Ruins,which was first built by the people of Jushi from the 2nd century BC to the middle of the 5th century AD. Then proceed with the Karez Well.In the oasis of Turfan, Karez wells nourish the crops, nurture the people in this oasis and provide water sources for the passing merchants who are traveling through the great desert.
  • Day 08Turpan/Dunhuang -B.L.D
  • Visit the Gaochang Ruins,which was long served as an important commercial and cultural center on the northern edge of the Silk Road. Then visit the Flaming Mountain, which lies 10 km east of Turpan city and is very popular thanks to a classical novel - "The Journey to the West". Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang.
  • Day 09 Dunhuang-B.L
  • You will be picked up at the railway station and transferred to the hotel. Visit the Mogao Grottoes a bright pearl on the ancient Silk Road, is well-known for its delicate murals and statues all over the world. and then proceed to visit Dunhuang Museum. Breakfast is on your own.(L)
  • Day 10 Dunhuang/Xian-B.L
  • You will experience a short camel-ride along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the Crescent Lake. Here you can enjoy the rare view where an oasis meets the desert.Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel.
  • Day 11 Xian-B.L
  • A memorable day of sightseeing today as you view the extraordinary life-sized Terra Cotta army, no two alike, buried for over 2200 years. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall by bicycle.
  • Day 12 Xian/Shanghai -B.L
  • Visit the Great Mosque and a local family in the morning. After lunch take flight to cosmopolitan Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. Free for you to explore Shanghai
  • Day 13 Shanghai -B.L.D
  • Sightsee Shanghai¡¯s highlights: the Shanghai Museum, which possesses more than 120,000 pieces of ancient Chinese art. Continue on to visit Urban Planning Center. Afterwards visit Yu Garden and the city¡¯s colonial European past at The Bund. This memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.
  • Day 14 Departure from Shanghai-B
  • Be transferred to the airport for your flight back. End of the tour with China Travel Select
