Day by Day Itinerary
- Day 01 Arrive Beijing
- Arrive in Beijing and transfer to the hotel. You will have a free day to explore the city.
- Day 02 Beijing - B.L.D
- This morning, see vast Tiananmen Square and the extravagant Ming–era Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City, including the jewelry section. After lunch, visit the elegant Summer Palace with the Kunming Lake cruise, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the largest imperial garden in the world. You will have delicious Beijing Duck dinner followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.
- Day 03 Beijing - B.L
- Today you will visit the renowned Great Wall. After about 1 hours drive you will arrive at the amazing Great Wall, and walk along its ramparts as emperors once did. After lunch, visit a Cloisonné Factory and tour Beijing’s historic Hutong (“narrow lanes”) area by old–fashioned Pedi cab. Climb up the Drum Tower and see a traditional drum performance. Visit a local family living in a courtyard–style home known as a Siheyuan. On the way back to downtown, drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will view it at a distance.
- Day 04 Beijing/Xi’an –B.L.D
- This morning, visit the exquisite 15th century Temple of Heaven. See the Imperial Ceiling of Heaven with its Echo Wall and the Nine–Dragon Cypress, more than 500 years old. Take afternoon flight to ancient city Xian. This evening, enjoy a fabulous Tang Dynasty show.
- Day 05Xian –B.L
- An unforgettable day as your sightseeing tour takes you to view the world-renowned legion of terra-cotta warriors. There are two large bronze chariots which also attract most visitors' eyes. Enjoy a Chinese style lunch. This afternoon, visit the exquisite Small Wild Goose Pagoda and the Xi'an History Museum.
- Day 06Xian/Lhasa –B.L.D
- Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to the airport. Take a flight to Lhasa. Transfer to the hotel and acclimatize yourself to the high altitude. Dinner is served at your hotel. We will handle the Tibet Travel Permit for you.
- Day 07 Lhasa–B.L.D
- Visit the Tibet Museum and the Carpet Factory. After having a western-style lunch, go head to visit the Sera Monastery and the Norbulingka Park. The a la carte dinner will be arranged for you at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant.(B+L+D)
- Day 08 Lhasa–B.L.D
- Visit the magnificent Potala Palace, which is the masterpiece of the ancient Tibetan architecture. After a western-style lunch, visit the Jokhang Temple, the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street.
- Day 09Lhasa/Gyangtse –B.L.D
- Transfer to Gyangtse. Stop off at the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake It is one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet and regarded as the transformation of goddess. Then view the Karola snow mountain. Transfer to the hotel upon arrival. Visit the Palkhor Monastery and the Gyangtse Old Street.
- Day 10 Gyangtse/Shigatse–B.L.D
- Transfer to Shigatse and check in at the hotel. Visit the Tashilunpo Monastery It houses the largest copper Buddhist statue with a height up to 26 meters in the world. Then travel to the New Palace of Panchen. it is famous for the summer palace of the tenth Panchen Lama.
- Day 11Shigatse/Dingri–B.L.D
- Transfer to Dingri and check in at the Everest Hotel. Visit the Sakya Monastery The Mongolian style architecture is different from the other temples in Tibet. You will visit Lhatse city on the way.
- Day 12 Dingri/Everest Base Camp/Dingri–B.L.D
- Transfer to the Everest Base Camp and visit Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world. It is the sacred threshold of Mt. Everest with the most fabulous view in the world. There is only a distance of 10 kilometers (6 miles) between Rongbuk monastery and Everest Base Camp.The return to Dingri.
- Day 13 Dingri/Shigatse–B.L.D
- Drive back to Shigatse and transfer to the hotel. You may take some photos on your way.
- Day 14 Shigatse/Lhasa2–B.L.D
- Return to Lhasa and transfer to the hotel. Two days' long-way driving may weary you out and you may have a good rest at the hotel.
- Day 15 Lhasa/Shanghai–B.L
- Proceed to the next stop after having a Tibetan family visit, which will offer you a chance to experience the real life of Tibetan People and you can chat with them about their life. Take flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel.
- Day 16 Shanghai–B.L
- Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. a bright pearl of the South classical gardens. Then visit the Bund along the Huangpu River and the famous Nanjing Road.
- Day 17Departure Shanghai–B
- Transfer to the airport and take your flight back to your country. Hope you have a good trip with China Tour Select.
